Well, here we are: the end of the academic year 2018-2019. Hopefully, all your studies went well and you are currently enjoying a well-deserved summer holiday! For me, it’s the end of a board year, full of great activities, including this year’s end-of-the-year barbeque activity!
As a yearly tradition, TAVERES organizes a barbeque in combination with a golf course for its members, but this year, our trainer Hans could unfortunately not come. As such, the golf course can wait until next year, but still, an end-of-the-year activity was obviously needed! For the final time this year, the board came together on the 5th of July to organize a nice barbeque, including some delicious self-made salads!
Though the group of participants was small (apparently, many Taverians already left the Netherlands to enjoy their vacation), there was quite some fun to be had, especially when one of our members brought up a game of Tangram, which puzzled some of our members to say the least…
Anyway, we wish you a great holiday and hope to see you next year! If you can’t wait to play some more table tennis, be sure to stop by hall 2b of the SSC on Mondays, where there will be the opportunity for free play from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every week! Also, you can help us during the introweek from the 2oth to the 23rd of August, so if you can be there, be sure to let us know!
